So I get up this morning and go look at my tank with the flash light and my Beautiful Onyx clown is pressed up against the rock with the sally light foot eating it.He was happy and healthy last night.

I want to remove them before he gets my other onyx or even my watchman goby

Yikes!! Looks like you'll be heading back to Rod's sooner then you expected..

not till I get those little B@stards out:)

Personally, I don't believe your crab is a murderer. I think he 's a scavenger that ate a sick/weak/dying fish. I have had fish that seemed OK one day that were dead the next & no crabs in the tank.

well he still had all his color even except where the SLF was eating it I agree in most cases they are scavengers but in this case I really think he grabed the fish as it was pretty small.

A larger sally lightfoot can certainly grab a small fish... who knows whether it happened, but it's def. possible, depending on size. They get a little aggressive.

I agree with Psam, had one do it to another clown. That clown didnt have an anemone so made a bed in the sand and would literally lay down in it. Had him for a little over a year when i got a free SLF that was monstrous, 1.5 weeks later, clown was breakfast. He HAD to of ambushed him in the night. This clown was healthy and boisterous...i refuse to have those crabs anymore...

The Sally Lightfoot is fine when small, but once they grow larger, they are a known thread to perfect fish and many of your LPS corals. I would not allow them in my system.

Sorry to hear about losing your Onyx!
