What actually is hosting?

I have a new bta (10 days in tank)and after 3-4 days the Oc clowns didn't even notice it was in the tank, so one evening while only LED's on and the bta was on a rock in the same corner the clowns always hang out in I nudged them towards it, they finally noticed it and spent the night there but stayed away all the next day then in the evening they would notice it again and spend the night there. Now after 10 days they seem to be spending a lot of there time in it or near it through the day as well. So I see them spending the night there and in and out through the day, they don't chase anything away yet, they will actually get out of the way while the cleaner shrimp tries to take scallop right out of the anemones mouth and I don't see them trying to feed it. Is this stuff all apart of actual hosting or are my clowns just happy to have a cosy place to rest? Maybe they don't want a serious relationship. What should I expect with real hosting?

Appreceiate any info, Thanks,Rob.

LOL, well not much else to say. They'll move in in their own time. :D

Occs are weird, and sometimes take to a PH b4 a nem, especially the tank raised.
Some people have occs for years that never venture into their nem.
It's good that yours are going in it, but the hosting relationship is usually different than say a clarki or maroon, where it's obvious that the clowns will spit food into their nem many times b4 eating for themselves.

I thought hosting was when each species benefited from the releationship, so if my clown is doing nothing put using the bta for a cozy place to rest then the bta isn't getting much out of the relationship. I am fine with this but do you really call this hosting? This is really what i was asking in my first question.

Thanks, Rob.
