I only have one powerhead in now I have 3 of these to put in when the tank cycles. It looks like a small bomb went off in the sand.

it is not pointing down it throws water all around not just forward.

sorry it is hard to see water is still clowdy from adding the sand yesterday.

When you add the live rock you should be able to deflect the flow so that it doesnt kick up the sand.

Roger - I have a similar setup and I'm going to need some powerheads to get enough flow for my SPS in the display. I was considering two Koralia 4's for my flow.
It looks like your tank is half full in the picture. Could that be why all the sand got blasted around? Either way, let me know how the Koralias work out for you once you have the LR in the tank. If the Koralia 4 are too much flow, then maybe downgrade...

even with rock, looks like the flow is aiming at the sand somehow. strange to get such a targeted divet otherwise.

I got tired of it all and went barebottom. much respect to anyone that gets the magical perfect combo of flow to not blow or shift the sand around, but not get cyano either. I never could.
