What Anemone for a Maroon clown

Hi, i have a 1inch gold stripe maroon clown and i was thinking about getting a green bubble tip anemone what do you guys think i should get. thanks

A natural host for the Maroons are BTAs.... It is nice because they are readily available and hardy.

I would go with a BT for all clowns, more likely to be CB and is hardier, other then Condys, most other nems just dont live more then a year or so in captivity, there are exceptions, but the longevity record is with BTs.

BTA is also nice because they are naturally drawn to them. I have had 2 sets of Maroons dive into 2 different BTAs in under an hour.

Yes, they are born with the instinct to stay in the nem for protection. Just make sure that your nem is at least 3x the size of your maroon. Maroon clowns can be very rough.

I have had a maroon in a bubble tip for five years, entered immediately and has stayed with it the whole time. I have had the Bubble tip for 7 years, extremely hardy.

Just note that your baby Maroon will inevitably turn very territorial and anyTHING that comes near her domain will be punished.

Best to have the other fish before the maroon or before it gets too big so they can establish their pecking order

I would also get a few more fish before putting an anemone in there. I have 2 maroon clowns and a bta and they are extremely aggressive with anything that comes near the bta, even my hand when cleaning the tank. But still awesome!

This is not true in all cases if you look at my picture that I attached if you look in the back there is a blenny that share the rock with them .

For what it's worth, I had an almost completely bleached sebae nem that I put in with a couple of maroons and within a month it had tripled in size and turned brownish-grey. In other words, they like sebaes and sebaes appear to like them.

Hi,every one i got a green bubble tip anemone yesterday and i caught a Maroon clown out of my 60 gallon so i moved it with the other little maroon i have and got them a anemone. please tell me how the anemone is looking cuz Im new at them thanks
