no this i not my first anemone. This will be in a 90 gallon reef. I have 2 DE 250 watts MH and 6 t-5s. i have in there currently mystery wrasse, pair longnose hawk, pair black and white percs, 3 dart zebra gobies and a peppermint hog.

All nems can eat fish, but the carpets do have a rep for being fish eaters.
What alot of people do is get clowns, and get a nem that isn't a natural host to that species of clown, and success on clown nem hosting can vary w/ that.
At top of this forum is a sticky that has nem facts, which shows which are natural matches.
My personal preference happens to be sebae and LTA, but your perc may or may not take to one of those as a host.

If they are all black ( with white stripe ) I am guessing that they are actually Amphiprion ocellaris, and not percs.

they sold them to me as black percs

Then they were wrong.

If it looks like this, then it is an ocellaris

Chances are about the same between a LTA, BTA, or Haddoni. None of these are natural hosts for Ocellaris, so it's always a bit touch and go on how long it'll take them to find the anemone, but they usually do eventually.

i decided to go with the rbta again. They clowns were curious at first but then they never try to go in. So looks like this is going to take awhile.

my clowns wont host the rbtga. This morning i saw my female swim into the tentacles but they are not hosting it.....i cant wait
