What angel should I put in my reef tank?

I am trying to select a perfect candidate for my reef tank. I just got a black tang, so I want something uncommon but also very hardy. Please post experiences, information, and pictures for each suggestion.

Members of the genera Genicanthus are considered reef safe. Some beautiful fish in the genera like the bellus, watanabei, and melanospilos.

Regal angel is also gorgeous, though will eat zoos and perhaps other softies.

Dwarf angels are more hit and miss and basically a crap shoot.

im currently trying to get a bellus, but dont think i will get one. i have also considered a watanbei. i had a regal angel angel, but had to sell it because it started eating all my corals. im mainly looking for a large angel as i do not really like any of the dwarf angels.

If your going with a wantanabie, get a mated pair. I picked up a male several months ago and he's doing fine. I want to find a female for him as I hear they do better in pairs. But he has paired up/ hangs out with my blue hippo tang since they are about the same size. My other fish are either much larger than them or smaller.

No personal experience but I have been doing a lot of research looking at a large angels for my 180 gallon SPS tank and there are a ton of people who have been doing very well keeping emp's with SPS. Ditto on majestic's, and Red Sea regal's as well.

I have a Goldflake and he is doing great I have LPS, SPS zoos giant clam and he doesn't touch anything just picks at the sponge onder the rocks.

any other suggestions? i am really looking for a female bellus angel but i can not seem to find one anywhere. a goldflake is really to pricey for me at this moment, and emperors get to big and i cant afford a pair of watanabe's right now either. any other possible candidates?

Well I am in the same boat as you. I am currently contemplating a queen angel actually. Like all others they say to add with caution. But many people have said that if you get them as a juvi and they behave it may work out. But I was also thinking of the red sea regal because I have many red sea fish going into the tank.
