what are these things??

Are they in your sump or in your tank. In some place where there is hardley any light. They could be some type of Sponges.

They look like little pieces of brown rice correct?
That would be flatworms. They are not bad but multipliy like roaches.

Scypha ciliata, sometimes called rice sponges. They don't like light so will usually only populate prefilters and sumps where little light is present. They're a harmless little filter feeder, but their presence in large quantities could be an indication or higher than optimal levels of disolved organics. You may want to rethink how much you're feeding or consider a more efficient protein skimmer before something like hair algae that isn't harmless takes hold.

Thanks Peter,
I just have say one thing though.
Mine are few compared to carpediem360's

Actually my population of those harmless filter feeders has grown, since I added some brown gracilaria that didn't fare so well.

Wow, Thanks for the resonding everyone. Yes these thing are everywhere. I just added a light in my refug and that's when I noticed them. I only feed my fish twice a week but I di use Micro Vert every 3 to 4 days. I have an Aqua-C skimmer which produces some junk but maybe not enough. Maybe I'll have to take a look at that again. Is there anyway that eats these things? Thanks

Centropyge angels are your best bet. However, I really don't see the need for a natural predator since they only grow in low light areas so they shouldn't really be a problem in a well lit display tank.
