That personatus was never available on JRF it went to Japan. Where are you getting your Inter and Carn? Can't wait for my Conspic. I think I may go with an Inter if I can get one at a reasonable price. Regards, Tim

You actually called.........JRF for the price?........man i just knew the price was way out of my league:p

Carmabi as you know comes from the carribbean......(not japan, they just buy all of them!)
The only distributer (and don't quote me) at the moment would be "Dynasty Marine Aquatics"
http://www.dynastymarine.net/
not to the public, but will sell to your LFS and that is how i'm will be getting mine.

As for the Interruptus.........."PHISHY BUSINESS!"......Serdar is the man!.............He's currently got some awesome Coco's pygmies!!

Plan on taking the drive this summer:rollface:

I always loved:

Mitratus butterlfy - had one for 3 years now.

Conspic - don't have the guts to spend a month and a half of bill money on a fish.

Goldflake angelfish - just bought one and it didn't make it out of quarantine :(

My dream fish is an Interruptus. I already have my other favorite, which is an ORA picasso pair, but I want an Interruptus soooooo bad.

the personatus that was caught was a MALE not a female and went to blueharbor in Japan. JRF always post fish that they dont have to get their name out there and give them the "wow" factor.

Aren't there 2 types of Carmabi? or is it the carmabi and the swalesi basslet that look the same??

interruptus are actually relatively easy to get if you know the right people. The only problem is that they are always big (4-5") i wish they were more readily available in a smaller size!!

also the bill in Hawaii didn't pass :)

Right now almost everything is a dream for me just because I'm a high school student who can't afford anything bigger than a nano.

golden dwarf moray eel
leaf fish
mitratus butterfly
as well as most other kinds of butterflies
magnificent foxface
lineatus fairy wrasse
as well as most other fairy wrasses
bellus angel

only one Carmabi!........from the carribbean up to the florida keys.
it is a deep water speciman with incredibly intense coloration (far more than the more common Swalesi).......
see for yourself.......http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2006/10/fish

Now.....most of these go to Japan for top dollar.........here in the states they run for roughly $600-$700 retail vs. Swalesi $60-$90

...........JRF..........glad i'm not the only one that questions their integrity!

I would love to have a pair of resplendens angelfish & a pair of small bandit angelfish.....Maybe one day

I honestly don't see why someone would want to get a Conspiculatus. their expensive, hard to take care of, don't have much patterning, and most of their bodies are dull gray brown and black. sure they have a little bit of orange and blue contrast in their faces but you can find much better in other angel fish.

Multibarred Angel, Centropyge Multifasciatus

Not so much rare or expensive, but difficult to keep. Maybe I'll give one a go when I feel I have enough expertise.[

Well I just found out that I am much closer to getting my Conspic. Shah I don't know if you have ever seen a Conspic in person or not but they are incredible. The pattern has such beautiful lines. I'm not one for a mish mosh of colors. The eyeliner and blue lips. The conspic is smokin hot. Damn I sound like Paris Hilton. Grey and brown? they are mostly greay and black but the blue, white, and yellow accents are all in the right places. Look below this is an amazing fish!!

Many people think black tangs are ugly but I think they are amazing because of how simple the colors are with the slightest accents. I guess to each their own. I'm kind of a rare fish junky so I'm definately guilty of that. Here's my Black Tang

As far as being difficult to care for. Yes they can be difficult, but that's part of the enjoyment of keeping fish. Besides they are bit more difficult than keeping an Imperator, which I consider an easy fish to care for. It's all about experience. I can't wait till she comes. Don't mean to be attacking you Shah. It's like you talking badly about my girlfriend:D Regards, T

I dug up some other pictures of dream fish i would love. Talk about "dream fish". Most of these pictures are copied from the rare angel pole thread on this Reefcentral and I unfortunately have not been lucky enough to take the pictures or the "dream" of having of these beauties in one of my tanks. Regards and let the drooling begin!!! Tim

Look at this Regal. Simply stunning!!!!!
