Well after 2 hours, draining about 50 gallons from the tank, using 6 pieces of that egg crate/light diffuser stuff to section off parts of the tank, and 3 dip nets...i was finally able to get the tang out and take her to my LFS. :fun4:
What's interesting is they already had another kole tang about the same size that also had lymphocystis. Apparently it's common with that species. And they even gave me a bunch of miscellaneous clean up crew in exchange for the fish.
Everyone wins! The tang gets professional help, my starry blenny is happy as ever again, and my clean up crew size increased.
