what does everyone think of my newest addition?

fungia coral! this is normal polyp retraction right? the center isnt bleached is it?

he was inflated fully last night, but once the lights came on it returned to how it looks in the pic, its sweepers are just barely visible over the scutes. is this normal for this fungia? seems like most photos i see show them inflated during the day as well
 
I have had one that has tripled in size over the last 6 months. It seems to extend its sweepers more at night then during the day. Have you fed it? Its really neat to watch them eat. I try and get some food to it at least once a week so that I know it is getting fed, not that it can't manage on its own.
 
IME, if you buy a fungia and its pretty closed up and has been at the LFS/online retailer, it can take up to a few months to fully settle in and fully inflate. Keep offering food, and you should be ok.
 
Its hard to tell from those pictures but it looks like those white spots are where tissue is receeding from the skeleton?
 
I dig it much :) one of my favorite corals. once you get it all chubbed out I wanna see some pics fo sho
