i found a Patella (Cymbula) compressa limpet in my reef and im wondering what they eat specifically? Im noticing one of my milipora's seem to be losing some tissue toward the base and this limpet was on a rock near the coral. Do these limpets eat corals? what is the best way to get rid of them if so? Also do those grey and white asterina starfish eat corals? thanks in advance!

Thanks. i guess i may have another issue. Im thinking mabe the astrea snails or the pepperment shrimp are eating my Acro then. The pepperments already polished off a couple of heads of Acans that cost me 140$ . never again would i add pepperments. My water quality is great so i have to get to the bottom of this !

There are some cap-shaped coralliophiliids that aren't limpets and eat corals. You might want to make sure that isn't what you have.

Cheers again,

Don
