what equip for 37 F.O.

I currently have 120 Gal. mixed reef and I would like to set-up a 37 Gal. F.O. tank. What would be minimum equiptment needed? Tank not drilled, would overflow and sump be absolutly necessary on a F.O. system? Back in the stone age, I ran a undergravel filter with good results. Would like suggestions from you guys (and gals) who run F.O.tanks.

I think you'd be fine with a decent hang on skimmer like a Remora. No real need for a sump/overflow if you don't want to. Keep the bioload manageable, and you shouldn't have any problems. I ran a 56 gal FOWLR and kept it pretty bare bones. Shallow sand bed, 60 lbs or so of LR and the skimmer. Did regular water changes and all was well.
