What filtration media should I use for fry tank?

Hey Ray, what bubble rate are you using in the fry tanks and do you mind taking a picture of your current fry setup for the erectus? I am still doing some trial and error and would like to do less on the "error" part! :)

I have a lot of different fry tanks.
What I like the best was the 4L wide mouth pickle jars I used for raising H. reidi for a few years.
Just the jar, open ended air line, and live nanno added to the water.
I did complete water changes every two days.

For the erectus I'm using a variety of tanks, including a muck bucket with sump.
Some of the tanks I use no filtration, while some use rock in the sumps.
All have about 4 open ended air lines for water movement that I set the flow so that the fry stay in motion and can't stay in one place but they can still capture the food passing them by.
When you consider all the hobbyists that are raising fry, there would be a myriad of methods used so there is no one right way to do things.

Ok cool thanks!! I'm gonna be using your ideas of just airline and water changes, but I'll be using 2.5gal and 5gal tanks.
Oh and I admit, I had to google what a muck bucket was! :)

I just got one of those big jars of pickles today, now we have a lot of pickles to eat! It looks like it should be able to hold quite a few baby seahorses :)

I got 12 four litre jars by purchasing pickeled beets as I don't eat other pickels of any kind, and, pickeled beets were cheaper anyway.
Roughly speaking, I would start off with about 100 fry to a 4L jar but had to transfer some to other jars as they grew larger.
At age of six weeks I would have no more than 50 to a jar, and by the time they were 10 weeks I'd be down to 25.
Generally though, I'd move them to a 40g breeder tank when they got to be 3 to 4 months old and feeding well on frozen mysis, or at least shaved mysis but not needing live food.
