What Halide combo do you run over your SPS?

FWIW I run dual 400's over my 120. I know it's overkill, but I like the growth. :)
interesting I have a similar set up, with 2 250w xm 20ks I feel like there is just not enough light I added 2 t5s today hopefully makes a difference. Im getting tight on room under my canopy but if this still isn't enough I'm going to add a reefbrite LED strip I've heard good things about them.

Anyways never really thought about bumping up to 400 watts. Thanks for the info.

Do you wear sunglasses when when you look at your tank? lol.

It really does make taking pictures a bit more difficult. I don't mind because I get to enjoy in person. ;) I do worry about my kids looking up at the lamps when I open the canopy to feed. However, I worried with my daughter and I was running 250's then.

I'd consider changing bulbs/ballasts before adding Reef Brites for brightness. XM 20k's aren't the brightest of bulbs. A lot of people experience bleaching when first adding RBs. They're intense without a broad spectrum. They look nice for supplementation, but be careful if your primary reason for adding is adding light.

I run two 400s on my tank with Lumen Brights. I would prefer lumenmaxs but I dont have the room in my canopy.

Lumenarcs are no more, what alternate reflector would you recommend that replicates lumenarcs.

Iam looking at the hamilton Cabo Sun to pair up with my one lumenarc.

oh my that's awesome, is that Vida Rock? looks dark for 2 250w halides plus reefbrites. is that with all the lights on?

Thanks, Yep, vida rock all the way and full lights. Love that stuff. Definitely looks brighter in person. This is a cell phone shot. White balance off a bit , (but not by much).

great work man, I'm jealous I tried like heck to get some of that Vida Rock emailed the manufacturer and everything never even replied. do you have to have additional filtration ?
