8 years ago you could find great sps for cheap now everything has a name and cost a million dollars a inch

its no longer a hobbies its business nobody trades frags anymore its all about fancy names and big $$ I remember 15 years ago getting colonies of ZOA's for $20 now your lucky to get a single head for that

I will sell you 10 dollar frags of orange digi all day :thumbsup: But my Oregon Tort and Purple monster will be just a little more :lmao: Fast growing corals sell for less then a slower grower. Some corals are slow growers and no one would want too frag a piece that took a year to grow for 10 bucks.

My local store has $7 frags and some nice ones too! You can find corals online as well for as low as $5

yup,bring back the good old days. Just have to convince the rest of the world to stop paying jacked up prices.

It's funny too, it's all about what looks better under LED ( with of course photoshop), same coral can have five different names and I gotta have each one... lol

Those deals are still around, shoot even reef raft usa has a section for cheaper frags in their store. Online is a different story, unless you get in on one of the live sale deals.

Pacific east aquaculture sells TONS of cheap frags. A lot of good LFS do too.

Ya. Pacific East has an entire under 15 dollar section, some decent frags in there too.

Even most of their over $15 stuff is reasonably priced, and they sell mini colonies cheap too. They're good at throwing in cool freebies too.

They're my go-to if I want to buy a bunch of different small frags from an online retailer. Lots of LA and Vivid both often have some absolutely beautiful pieces up, but they're usually also very expensive by comparison.
