What have you done with your tank lately?

Today I added flow....

Dave,
Do you use regular or high capacity GFO? Do you regenerate it? 5 gallons at a time, that's quite a chunk of change.

I use regular GFO and just replace it when it is exhausted. I don't think I want to mess with the chemicals and take the time to regenerate it.

Sounds good now me and Alex need to get out to see it while it's clean ;) maybe a sspn?

Well, not quite clean, my cube tank glass is dirty and needs magnet cleaning and the long tank needs to be razored. I still need to replace my carbon too! I've been slacking on that. Of course, it would be great to have you guys over for a SSPN, but between now and Christmas we have way too much going on and I've been working extra each week too since we have someone on leave. After the Christmas holiday for sure though:beer:

Every thing is nook sized around his house. 5 gals is nothing for him... He eats 5 gallons of cereal for breakfast every day!

This is true, our Dierberg's ran out of Count Chocula because I bought it all when it was on sale last:)

On another note, I noticed saltwater on the floor today and I'll be damned if my bulkhead feeding the Iwaki 100 wasn't leaking. I guess I torqued it a bit when I was putting the Iwaki back on after cleaning it. If I tightened the bulkhead it got worse and worse if I loosened it too. I didn't have any saltwater made to drain the sump and put a new bulkhead in place, and I would need to get new fittings to hook up the Iwaki. Like a dummy, I glued the PVC into the bulkhead and can't remove it without sawing it apart. Lesson learned. So, I am going to get a nice bulkhead and next water change replace it and re-plumb the Iwaki properly without glue. The bulkhead wasn't the quality I wanted because the hole was too small and I couldn't fit a SCH 80 in place, the cheap ones never work and I should have known better but was probably in a hurry to get that skimmer plumbed:rolleyes:

Holy Schnikies! What all are you dosing? Never seen that many dosers hooked up. :D Whatever you're doing, keep doing it, looks great.

Added LED's to my 24 gallon nano, bought some rics, and some expensive tricolor yuma. finally got a piece of blue green sympodium that hasn't blown off its frag plug.
