What have you done with your tank lately?

Just found out I'm getting a couple of the new Brightwell Aquatics xport bricks, one being the No3,and a couple replacement blades for my Flipper scraper for christmas. Mainly because I made a cart and then told Jill to buy them for me. Otherwise she wont know what I want if I dont pick it out and put it in the cart! lolz

I intend on removing at least 90% of the LR in my sump to help curb the build up of detritus in my sump.

I know I'm getting a new Uv filter for the exact same reason 😀

I just finished mixing the salt.

So Ive recently removed all the nems from my DTs because I got tired of them moving and making me scramble to move my corals so they didnt kill them.

I ended up putting all my BTAs and clowns in a 40b so they could have their own space,I also added a couple baby naked mocha clowns but my pair of adult percs didnt like it (or anything other fish or me for that matter) so I traded them in on a pair of baby black ice extreme clowns and now everyone gets along fine. Well, over the weekend I took advantage of the great black friday prices at MS and got a beautiful purple carpet. It's about 8" across at the moment and super healthy and happy. It settled right in to the spot I made for him within minutes.

So far Im super happy with the tank and the way it's turning out but enough of the blah blah blah and on to the pics!

This is about an hour after I put him in the tank. Already settled in and opening up.

Did you add all the clowns at once? Tank looks great

I already had two pair of clowns,I added them first and the Perc female killed the snowflake female in 24 hours. I added the two naked mochas to the 40b a couple days before I added the two percs and male snowflake but the two percs were still being too aggressive to the babies so I decided to trade them in on the black ice babies. So all of them were added within a few days of each other.

So I had the 40b nem tank isolated by itself using a couple of HoB filters but after running it about a week and having to top it off etc. I decided to go ahead and plumb it to my big system. I already had an HoB overflow which I utilized along with an aqualifter pump to keep the air out of the U-tube. I also had some loc-line so all I had to buy was a couple runs of vinyl hose and it was a done deal.

I feel much better about the set up now that it's integrated into my main system and has the stability of 500 gallons of water.

Wow!! This is great! Good Job!
I also love nemo! They are cute and lovely!

Finally got my water change station plumbed. Now I need to find a heater controller. And make a funnel for salt.

Mine isn't as elaborate, but definitely an upgrade from what I was using.I finally got around to getting rid of my wall of 30 gallon trash cans that were all looking like they wanted to split down the side. Found some nice open top barrels. 30 gallon on top, 55 gallon on the bottom. I picked up some wheels and made a platform so I can pull the 55 out when needed, whether a couple of inches to refill with RO/DI water, or pull out to do a water change. I plan setting up an auto water change system eventually. Still need to get it painted.
I've always hated all the dust that escapes when I scoop the salt out of the 200 gallon bucket and pour it in the 30 gallon can. Looking forward to cutting the corner off a 50 gallon bag of salt and letting it pour (dust-free) through a 2" hole.

Looks like a great setup, mine wasn't thought out as well as yours by the looks of it.
Could you break the line where the ro water exits the top barrel? Replace the 90 with a tee, valve between the tee and ro container, and a valve on the top part of the tee. Close the ro valve, open the upper valve, and add salt at that spot. It would get pulled in by the pump. When finished adding salt, just close the upper tee.
You will still need that funnel

Good idea. I'm going to make this batch up and empty the tanks and do a little adjustment and I should be able to dump salt right in.

I also ordered a Neptune DOS to automate my water changes. I plan on doing a 5-7 gallon per day. With that amount the only thing I'll have to turn off during the WC is my ATO.

How goes the auto water changes? How many gallons a day did you settle pn?Livestock seem to appreciate it?
Did you have to tweak it any after the initial setup, or has your S.G. stayed spot on?
