What have you tasted??

If I am anywhere near my tank for more than a few min, I can taste salt on my lips and have tasted both freshwater and marine food. I have to say, marine fish food tastes better...

I'm sure there are people who tried the skimmate as well. But, I still want to believe that the sane majority never purposefully tasted anything related to their fish tanks.

The thought of someone trying skimmate makes me lose my apetite *puck*

I wouldn't say taste persay, but when I handle algae my hends reek of it, but I would say I have many times siphoned saltwater into my mouth.

I've never been tempted to taste anything.

If I happen to get my hands on a mermaid, then that would be a different story. :D

I don't know about tasting things, but sometimes crap smells so bad from the fish tank, i.e. skimmate that I FEEL like I'm tasting it!

Lord knows I keep my mouth shut when working around the tank. Certainly don't want to taste anything poisonous too boot, like Zoanthid chatter!

I've only accidentally tasted tank water when starting a siphon in an airline. I'm wondering what is up with people that are intentionally tasting things. Why???:eek2:

At various times in my job at Reef Nutrition I've had every single product we make splash both into my eyes, and mouth  Other then that, I stay away from putting tank items in my mouth.

The company rep from Marubeni, the makers of many Japanese fish feeds, eats Otohime (fish food) as a snack.

One of our customers kept running out of one of our phytoplankton concentrates. Turns out his Japanese tech was spreading it on bread and calling it liquid sushi :D

I used to go through a good bit of Otohime at my last job, never once thought of even tasting it :eek1:

why.........? lol i can see one of ya'll "tasters" ending up on that show where people do weird compulsive things like eat detergent or ash or glass or w/e lol

I hear lionfish tastes good. Still looking for a place that sells it though. I don't feel like paying $50 for one at the LFS only to get 2 tiny fillets off it.

I have eaten nori though.
