what in the world is this?

i noticed with my blue t5 lights on tonight that my new piece of LPS coral is sending big strings of tissue out into the water. What are these and what is it doing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it brown, stringy, and coming out of its mouth?

If so it is most likely excess zooxanthalle algae due to the change in lighting.

This is the coral. I couldn't really tell what color the strands were, but i thought they were pinkish.

Your bubble coral is, for lack of a better word, pooping. He is fine.
You will notice the fish eating it as well.

Pink strings are most likely mesentarial filaments which are digestive in nature but are sometimes expelled when corals are stressed. Most often these are released through some part of the coral polyp when the coral has just been moved or if is stressed. It is common for corals to do this when added to a new aquarium and it is nothing to worry about.
