What is going on???? My Corals are acting strange

So over the last few months my corals have done some strange things. first it was my zoas that melted away, then my feather duster disappeared, and now 2 of my candycanes have just pulled off their branch. The picture is of my last canycane that was my largest and been in my tank for a year. It has always been so nice and full. Now its pulling away as you can see.

My peramiters are all good and so is my temps. I only have my clowns and goby as far as fish.

Any ideas?

Have you checked for and metals and such that may have got dropped in the tank by accident? There is a filter out there that when put in the tank will change colors when removing metals and copper that would be worth a try just to make sure. Sorry i cant think of the name of it off the top of my head though.

I will check into that. I don't know how any metal would get into the tank but will check. The strange thing is its just one coral at time and all the others do well. Just don't get it.

you say parameters are good. What, exactly, are they?

"good" is a relative term.

What is your maintenance routine?

Do you dose anything?

Without giving us more information, there isn't much we can do to help.

definitely post your parameters. Over a 6 monyh period I lost a lot of coral...all types. After doing a lot of reading and talking to different people I came to the conclusion that my water was too clean and my lighting was too strong. I was striving for low nutrient levels but failed to realize that if I didnt feed my tank enough I could starve my corals. The corals you listed tend to do better in "dirtier" water. Also they might not like the amount of flow that is on them.

So if you could be more specific about your water quality, equipment, maintenance....etc Im sure we can figure it out.

Thanks guys for the reply. I do not have the exact peramiters for everything because over the last few weeks I have taken my water to my LFS for them to test everything. They have told me that everything is checking out good as in everything is where it should be. I have checked my following:

Nitrate-0
Nitrite-0
Alk-300
Ph-8.4
Salt-2025

I want to also state that I have a 29G cube that I have had for a year now and the flow and lighting is the same as day 1. Also all of my other corals...Mushrooms, Paly, Ricordia, Zoa, Leather, Frogspawn, acan, etc. are doing very well.

Over the last year I have also tried to do a weekly water change of 5 gallons per week. I have been pretty consistant with this. Since this has started I have also tried every 2 weeks. I do not do any dosing. I was going to add calcium but my LFS said my calcium is at the proper levels. The Candycane in question has a full head on it just about to completely fall off. It seems to be very full and healthy too.
