What is the difference between SE and DE MH

I am not a light guru and was wondering what is the difference between SE and DE MH. One better than the other, last longer, better spectrum? Just trying to knwo the right way to go on my tank. It seems like alot of you have SE....is that true?

SE give you more bulbs selections, DE you have to use a filter glass for the UV.
