What is the quickest way to get rid of Zoas?

I have had those paly they r a weed for sure. You could get a couple fish then like to eat them. It will take a long time still. If it was me I would scrap what I could off the walls. Buy new rock sell the old rock on craigslist that will pay for the new rock. If u have the extra cash and a sump buy a media pure cube for the sump. It will replace the need for any live rock well u sell of the zoa rocks. It takes about 6 weeks for the cube to have enough media on it to maintain ur tank with no live rock though.

Good luck

OMG that's freakin amazing!

Dude, I would say the best way is to $ELL THEM. take the rocks you have, and sell the colonies one by one. Put them up for sale HERE, and on craigslist as suggested.

Most zoas look plain in plain white light, and you seem to have some sort of a regular MH running on your tank if I can guess. That doesn't show off your zoas. If spend a little money getting a PAR38 light with royal blues and violet or UV bulbs in there and take pics of those and post it for your classifieds, you can get a lot more money. I would think each mound of zoas can be sold for $100 minimum. The bigger rocks can be sold for more. You have at least three different kinds in there.

My reply to the Dude who asked me how long I have had these Zoas? Four years. To the Dude who asked me what type of lighting I'm running? One 400 watt MH, one 250 watt MH, and two four foot actinic LED strips.

Danzing: Where are you located? You may get more help from your local fish forums when it comes to selling and or trading them.

You can blast them with LEDs turn to 100% output, melt them in a week. but be sure to do WC and dump your skimmer's collection cup daily.

Have they always been that color? I bought some that were green, they turned brown in my tank until I changed lights and maintained better water, then they went back to full color.

Now tharx a zoa garden lol

yeah people in my local forum are just blown away by his tank. what the dude should do is get some designer zoas and drop them in his tank and let them grow. he's got the green finger for them. it's pretty obvious this is a low maint. tank.
