Stomatella. Discovered them for the first time in my tank the other day. Gross looking but valuable and harmless member of the cuc. Leave it.

That's not surprising. They don't like light and are quite fast for a snail. They're voracious algae eaters though, and if you have more than one they might even reproduce in your tank. Nice find!
 
You can move it or not.. it will likely end up in the DT on its own... and if you have 1, you probably have more.. Mine, ride up and down the plumbing and I have them in the sump, display fuge and DT..
 
Yup Stomatella snail. I have thousands of these things reproducing in my tank, anyone wan't a few? As sushigirl said, there actually is a small nail like shell on there backs.
If you ever see " clouds " in your tank it could be them spawning. These creatures are also great algae grazers.
