What Is This!?

I've recently noticed some small worm like things on the walls of my sump and on the plumbing of the skimmer. Any idea what it might be?

I'm so glad you posted this! I just found the same strange looking creatures on my Tunze Doc 9002 skimmer body, very odd looking things. Look like a Cerith Snail shell that's white and puffy with fins on the tail just plain weird!:bounce3:

Thanks for the ID JokerGirl.....described mine as small pipe-cleaners today to my brother-in-law whom is also a reefer, and has been one off and on for many years and he hadn't a clue and laughed at me for saying it was some sort of small pipecleaner looking thingy
