What is your Ca Reactor Effluent Rate

Setting up a large Geo Calcium Reactor on my 750G reef with a dedicated peristaltic pump to feed it. I was hoping to get a rough range of effluent rates folks are running to make sure that the pump I have chosen will provide the appropriate range.

TIA, Steve

Not sure that a peristaltic pump will be good for that. Of course, it all depends on your system's consumption of CA and KH. If you have a lot of SPS, you may need a hefty drip rate and a pump like that may not provide enough flow or you'll just wear it out from 24x7 running.

Not talking about a Liter Meter. Looking at a Masteflex pump which are very reliable and made for continuous use. The advantage of these pumps are that the flow rate will be independent of the pressure head through the reactor media (will not change as the media is used, etc.). If the pump rate is high, you can easily add additional pump heads on these pumps to decrease the rpm. Several people are using this type of pump for this application, and I am pretty sure that it will work. However, they are not cheep and I need to have an idea the range of effluent rates that folks are running to make sure that I buy the right one. Prop-frags: do you have a measuring cup to measure your effluent volume for 1 minute? Anyone else do the same? Or can anyone tell me how many GPH their dedicated feed pumps are rated?
