What is your favorite tang?

It's the same fish, no I can't personally guarantee that but with the right diet I'm sure the colors would get better. The one in the pic you liked I would say is more one off or possibly collected somewhere different then the one on DD??

Yeah thats what i figured, or the picture was edited a little but! I would love to have one that looks like that! lol

Maybe just me, but with the right camera, the right lighting and an experienced camera man, a lot of fish can look a lot better.

I think the same goes with some of these actors and actresses. Ever see the rag magazines at the cashier of the grocery store, "So and So without her Makeup on...."
LOL

Mine top 3 are black/chevron/achillies- i go in and out of which is number 1
i have a chevron named squishy about 4 months in my 200g tank- he has lots of personallity and schools with a tamarin and golden rham.

I have had him , squishy, since 12/7/12 - he is almost 4 inch and has lost some of the hot orange to a darker orange and can't wait till he is blacked out :)

Gorgeous fish and he looks very healthy!!!

I know a lot of people only think they look cool when orange, but i think they look great blacked out (stealth) too!:angryfire:

This Ctenocaetus hawayensis is gorgeous when it is juvenile... but when it will become adult you'll find a brown fish in your tank.
I dream of a Naso vlamingi, it's a marvellous fish, changing colour from broun spotted in blu to cyan stripped in blu only in few seconds when you add food in the tank ( but it needs a 200 gal tank or bigger)
I had a Ctenocaetus strigosus, a Zebrasoma flavescens and an Acanthurus tennenti .... three of my favorite fish in my 7 years of reef tank experience

Right above this we go into how we like them when they are brownish black as well! :headwally:

Clown tangs are my favorite! They're very pretty and have one HELL of an attitude, but I think that adds to their charm. Definitely one of those "add this fish last" fellas, but well worth the attitude in my opinion.

I love my trio of Powder Blue, Purple and Yellow tangs. The individual colors of the fish complement each other very well.

im not a big achilles tang guy... Powder brown, powder blue and naso i think are my top three followed close by the naso
