What kind of anemone for a black percula?

Well put phender, let's say your talking about a A. Ocellaris then a nice BTA, RBTA or LTA will work fine if you are using PC's
Any other anemone I would say use MH's.

Alright, just got home from work. I dont have any good pics and I left my camera at work so tomorrow I'll get a better pic. It was sold to me as a black perc, but I'm not sure. Its hard to count when their moving and like I said , I dont have a good pic yet.
I will be upgrading to metal halides BEFORE getting any anemone. This will be my first go round and I want to make sure I have enough light. Is running a single bulb better than running a dual setup? I was thinking of using 2x175 or a single 250. Other than the obvious difference in watts, I thought the dual would spread out the light more. Is this correct?
I run a 20 gallon fuge and no skimmer.
nitrates=0
phosphate=0
ph=8.3 day, 8.1 night
alk=10dKH
calcium=400
Also, I run a Magnum 350 with carbon and Phosban all the time, just in case

The only thing I dose is Dowflake to raise calcium and kalk to maintain. Weekly to biweekly water changes of about ten to fifteen gallons. Temp is steady at 80-81 but I'm sure that will change with the halides.
I feel my tank will be ready after I get the lights. Probably another month till then and another month or two till I get the nem. I cant wait.

In which case I would suggest a BTA, considering they are a bit less difficult to care for than other anemones. They will wander, but once they find a nice spot they will stay there for a long time.
BTAs will attach themselves to rock, so I would suggest building a rock pile in the tank. They can get about 24" across, but they also split, which you could always trade off. IME, BTAs like moderate flow. Make sure you cover powehead intakes, because these guys can get quite adventurous.

Yeah, read the stickys in this forum and I believe there is one about anemones in either the general discussion or new to the hobby forum. Also, you may want to do a search here on reefcentral for additional information.
BTAs can do well under strong PC or VHO lighting of at least 160 watts (combined actinic and 10k). In this scenario they will require small supplemental feedings of silversides, shrimp, or other meaty foods about three times a week. If you go MH you may be able to get away with less feedings.
I have a RBTA that sits right under a 10k 150w DE MH and he reaches for light. I feed him about two silversides a week, in small pieces. I have had him since mid December, and he just recently split (which I induced by administering a larger water change and heavy feedings).
In addition, there is no guarantee that your clownfish will accept a BTA as a host. According to documentation, A.ocellaris do not usually accept BTAs, although there are many examples that defy this. I suggest patience and they will eventually find their way.
