I picked up this new carpet along with 2 others.they were being sold as haddons but one i already know it's a gig but this one might be a gig it has some degree of purple bumbs on its underside but not as distinct as my other giganteas I'm stuck is it a haddons? Tentacles just seem way longer than my ultra green haddons carpet.

Awesome thank you it's just everytime I put it in the sand it crawls to a rock crevice so I was skeptical! But I guess he's just a weird haddons carpet:lol:

Even haddonis want to attach their foot to a rock or even better to a rock crevice.

Awesome I never knew that always kept my haddons in the sand i should've realized once my ultra green went from sand bed to up on the rocks:headwalls:

Nice! But, be prepared for it to walk again. When it's truly "acclimated" and happy, it will be in the sand open like a plate - flat, and the mouth won't be able to be seen. When really acclimated, and healthy, you won't see the mouth and they will be all flat, displaying the whole disk like a plate. I have yet to see one happy in the rocks, truly happy and healthy, but there's always a first.

Thanks yeah he was in the sand bed in the 70 gallon hex but I felt it was too deep for the 250 watt halide so I moved him into a much shallower tank with the 250 watt and he went to rocks he's only been in that tank for about 4 days. He was a 9 inch carpet the. Started to shrink since I moved him he has increased his size again my about 2 or inches :) I hope the move better suits him

Yeah I took him off of the rock he crawled onto and put him in a small crevice where rock meets sand and he buried his foot :)
