I've never personally had a problem with silver sides. I did quit using them years ago after hearing all the bad publicity though. The problem appears to be that they are not human grade food, so they are not held to the same high handling rules. If you get a package that has gone bad during shipping, it may cost you your anemone. You may feed them once a month and never have a problem, or the next silver side you feed your anemone may be its last. Personally, I'm just not going to take that chance.
