i remember when zoo frags contained like 20polyps for a few bucks or alot more if the frag was something really sought after like the bright blues and such. lots of these zoos look like your run of the mill tricolors we've been seeing for awhile. perhaps my judgement isnt fair as i never really got into "highend zoos". are they really coming out with really rare color morphs or are some just riding the rarity crazy by disguising common zoos by calling them something catchy.

i wouldve seen everything the day ppl decide to sell colored zooanthid dna on rc.

HAHA. Yeah, I remember when a colony of red mushrooms was 25 bucks or some really nice zoos were 20. I know that there has been a tremendous shortage in corals but some of the prices are absolutely ridiculous. I think hobbyists who are capitalizing on this are ruining our hobby. This isn’t by any means a personal attack, and I fully understand the principle of supply and demand but it’s a bit sickening to see mushrooms I once paid 20 bucks for an entire rock now go for 25 a polyp. I know that many of us could easily start an online business and capitalize on this wave but choose not to. Good luck to those that have but don’t expect me to patronize you.

Yeah, I remember the good ol' days when zoos were sold by the colony, not 'per polyp', rics were $5 for nice orange floridas, and all these silly names were being thrown around. Coincidentally, I thought the hobby was overpriced back then too. If only I knew what was on the horizon.

Maybe in the US, but the US isn't the only country boarderring the tropical atlantic. OK, no beating around the bush :lol:

Haiti and DR both export r. floridas. In fact, if you see a rock with many polyps, it most likely came from there.
