What salt do you use for SPS dominated tanks?

Currently using reefcrystals. It has a little higher alk then I like so I'm considering other options (leaning toward tropic marin). What are your experiences with your salt?

Hahaha, that's great. Do a search on salt mixes. The "Reef Chemistry" forum is a good place to look. I would say TM Pro-Reef sounds like a good place to start, but keep in mind you should expect to have to dose some sort of Ca/Alk with the levels it provides.

I was using RC forever but switched to TMPro for that same reason. Alk was too high for the Zeovit Method. TMPro works great especially with Zeovit products, no complaints...just a bit pricey and sometimes hard to get!

ive been using reef crystals for over a year now. i've found that if you let the batch mix for at least 3 days or so, that the alk will drop to around 7 to 8. i mix mine a week in advance and have no issues with alk spike or high alk in my salt mix
