I used to use coral pro reef slat but have sinced switched to seachem
spot on calcium levels and great mixing properties, never any residue and is relatively affordable
around $50 for a 160g bucket

I use natural sea water for the most part. Otherwise I use Bio Life Pro Reef Salt. It dissolves quicker than anything I have ever seen and has an alk of 8 DKH that I like.

I've been using the AquaOne salts, its what my LFS carries so its convient and mixes to pretty good properties (usually gives me NSW with 450 calcium, 1500 mag, 10 dKH when mixed to 35ppm) Blends nicely too.

Been using SeaChem Aquavitro Salinty. Has all batch specific info on bucket. I was using Red Sea Coral Pro (their reef salt) and liked that but would stick with the Salinity after using both. Oh and the Red Sea Coral Pro, I liked that way better than reef crystals (seems to clump up easily).

Reef Crystals.

Because that is what most people seemed to use when I was first picking and I have never had any issues with it.

Tried aquavitro, rc, and Kent all about the same. The aquavitro is slightly more expensive

I use coral pro. I'm curious to know what specs reef crystals is rated at, when fresh mixed.

I always got ALK readings of 13dkh + at 1.025, which was way to high for me. The other numbers are similar to Coral Pro. I switched to Coral Pro and Red Sea regular......depending on where my #'s are at.

Brightwell Neomarine. I have used it for about a year so far and no complaints. All parameters stay in check between bi-weekly water changes.

SeaChem Reef Salt.

I tried their salinity line, but it didn't dissolve as readily as I would have liked. I have also used IO and the reef crystals line in the past, but found that for my tank's particular needs, SeaChem Reef Salt does a good job.

Instant ocean, because it is cheap and easily available. Also if you note that most reef tanks of the month all use just regular instant ocean
