I'm an Addict.
Well, todays my birthday (turned 19) anyway, Got some money, and just got my paycheck and was wondering what to add to the tank, I just got my sump setup YAY! Everythings working wonderfully, but anyway heres a current stock list,

-40lbs Live Rock,
-29g Display, (10g Sump)
-Orbit PC Lighting System
-False Percula
-Lawnmower Blenny
-5 Blue Hermits
-7 or 8 Turbos,
-Couple Ceriths,
-Peppermint Shrimp,
-Condy Anemone

I want to add eathier another fish/invert or a Coral of some sort names would be amazing, and price would be cool too, I was thinking possible some shrooms, not really sure I would just like some ideas, THANKS!

I think you'd need to define what you'd like a little better. You can often get green star polyps or zoanthids as frags from other reefers, and they grow well under PC lamps. A variety of shrooms would be nice too - different colors, different textures - maybe a few ricordias as well.

A brittle/serpent star could be a nice addition too. Avoid the green variety, as they have a reputation as fish-eaters, but there are quite a few others that can be interesting and even colorful (a red serpent (Gulf of Mexico) can be a wonderful addition).

whoa! never seen the red serpent.

If it were me, I'd just go around all the LFSs and see what is available. Wanting something, and actually GETTING it can be frustrating sometimes. You can ask what they have scheduled to come in. I personally would never want to order online, I like to see what I'm getting

Best advice I'd give is: BE PATIENT! hold out for something you REALLY want. That $$$ will be gone before you know it, and you'll see something else you want ;)

Also, note that mixing Cnidarians in that small volume, or even mixing corals with your LTA in that small volume, may ultimately cause the demise of your LTA.

If it were me, I'd go with a fish--perhaps a Royal Gramma, which are really cool, colorful fish that stay small.

lol,,,, i forgot to mention I have some GSP ,,, and they rock,,, I got a big chunk from Rods Reef, I love them, look awesome under actinics, but anyway, I was considering doing a small hippo tang, until he got like 4 inches then move him up to the 75 I will have in progess soon. :-)

I would say toward the end of the year i would add another small clown , since by that time your clown now should be female and then you can try to pair them up. I would NOT add a blue tang no matter if you know your upgrading soon as a 75 is not big enough either. Any gobies you interested in? Maybe a dwarf angel?

yeah i wouldnt do the regal either. my tank is a 75 and it will soon outgrow my tank. i think that setting up a breeding pair of clowns. i also think a rainfords goby is gorgeous and also eats hair algae and filters sand so is a good addition. i wouldnt do the dwarf angel, i think that a 29 is still a little small for that.

as far as corals, no SPS, at least not yet. i dont know about your lights, but your tank is too young for these. i think that a sun coral would be cool and they are not photosynthetic. they are fed meaty foods and grow fast when fed daily. you may be able to get into some LPS, but once again i would wait. i personally like torch corals and frogspawn when it comes to LPS.

i personally have a mixed tank with anemones, polyps, xenia, SPS, LPS, ect. i like the mixed reef because it is the most natural.
