A.G.E aquarium - 48" x 48" x 36" = 359g or 72" x 36" x 30" = 337g

What I'm looking at!!!

MRC Hi Flow/Reef Sump

Bubble King Deluxe 250 Internal or ATI Super Marines

Red Dragon 6.5 m3 or Red Dragon 8.2 m3

GEO 624 or GEO 818 with Panworld 10PX

MRC Kalkwasser Reactor and FMC422 with Panworld 10PX

Midwest Aquatic Sulfur DeNITRIFIER XL

Tunze Stream 6201 w 7095 controller or VorTech wireless

Aquatronica or Aquacontroller II or Profilux or Biomatix

Will need 2 of these!!!

Sfiligoi Stealth 8x39w T5 with 2 x 150 HQI= 612watts x 2 = 1,224watts

Aquactinics Constellation â€"œ 14 39W T5 HO lamps = 546watts x 2 = 1,092watts

Will use only 1 of these!!!

Giesemann INFINITI Moonlighting -3 x 250 watt HQI + 4 x 80 watt T5 = 1,070watts

Any question or comments would help with this decision.

A.G.E aquarium - 48" x 48" x 36" = 359g or 72" x 36" x 30" = 337g

All the other is just some of the equipment I'm looking at.

im going to have a 337gal built same size dimentions you have above, and i love the size. 48 might be too wide, pending on the room your going to put it in. what you gotta do is tape out on the floor with painters tape what where the tank would be and see what size you like after a week of waking by and or around it. :)

My tank is 30" tall and I can't reach down to the substrate when something has to be picked up or moved. Tongs or forceps are always handy. So I wouldn't suggest a tank that is 36" tall because of that issue, as well as the fact it will be hard to clean the bottom few inches where algae and/or coralline grows.

48 x 48 is a stunning looking tank if you have the perfect stand like one guy here on RC did. His looked amazing.

72 x 36 gives great depth and a little more swimming distance if you want to have tangs, but my blonde Naso has gotten pretty big and she needs a tank much much longer to be honest.

Wow that's some nice equipment your looking at.

I also had a 30" tank and completely agree that it's very difficult to reach the bottom especially in the back corners. The tongs work but when trying to place a nice coral, something like a birdsnest, it's almost impossible.

Go with the 72"x36"x36"tall 403 gallons This will allow for more height from your SPS. My tank is 36" tall and some of my SPS are 2' tall now..

Also go with the deep pocket look for that equipment list... Figure around 1.00 a month to operate..

Happy reefing
