what size/make pump

I'm looking to redesign my sump and want to place it in the basement. I run a 180 salt reef. There will be about a 16 foot head and I'm looking for around 750-800 gph into the tank. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Sequence pumps are a great solution but the 750/1000 pumps are their old product and you'll get a better deal if you go with their newer Reeflo pumps. The Barracuda will fit the bill for your needs and do it cheaper than the Sequence 1000. In general, the Reeflo flow pumps are the best deal you can get from Sequence (the Snapper, Dart, Barracuda, and Hammerhead). If you need pressure pumps, then look at the Tarpon, Wahoo, and Marlin. You'll pay less for an equivalent or better pump than if you buy the older Sequence models.

Haha! Insiders who know will tell you the exct opposite.
The Sequence Reeflo series are entry level pumps. Created for the aquarium industry to take away market share from Dolphin. Remember the ampmaster? Since sequence needed a high volume product, they looked overseas to build the reeflo series based off the 750 and 1000 series, which are assembled in the US. For a long time the Reeflo series was sold at a very low price (I remember the Dart selling for $179). Since they have crushed Dolphin's market share the price has slowly risen. Now that the aquarium world looks at them as the leader in this segment, Sequence will always suggest that the Reeflo series is better than the 750 and 1000 series. Why, because they can now sell them for the same price even though the Reeflo series cost them significantly less to produce.
