What softy coral can be a good clown host?

In place of an anemone, what soft coral can I look to possibly host my 2 percs?

Green fuzzy mushrooms have worked for me quite well. Make sure you stay away from elephant ear mushrooms. They can and will eat clowns that try to use them as hosts.

My clowns obviously prefer bubble tips, but they used to host in frogspawn and now that I added a large tomato clown who hogs all the BTAs, they've started to host in a large green leather (devils' hand). In my experience, clowns seem to host in the largest thing in the tank, unless it's already occupied.

My percs were hosting my long tentacle plate coral. They don't even go near my btas.

I've got a pair of Ocellaris clowns that nearly killed a xenia colony with cuddles before they moved to a finger leather. They've been there a couple years now. It doesn't seem to mind and they clearly like it - they're laying eggs nearby.

My choice of coral has always been a hammer aussie even better just because of color at that point or a torch I have a picasso hostin a tarchy lol

Clowns are funny! No pun intended. They will choose some pretty strange things and buying a specific coral does not guarantee that they will pair up . Unless you are preparing on using staples and super glue. :eek1:

My clowns in my biocube seem to like my open brain and my tomato clown has chosen my green tyree toadstool.
