gary, ive seen a few of these at local stores, almost always listed as h. malu or h.crispa. i dont think ive ever seen a true, postively identified h. malu, but i always assumed if i did see one, this is what they would probably look like.
if it isnt h.malu, it could just be a different growth form of h.crispa. sort of like how e. quadricolor has been known to have different growth patterns for different depths.
if i had to guess, id suggest h. crispa.
