It is hard to tell because they are so small but they look like mini versions of the underside of my barnacles. I don't have one on the glass at the moment or I would take a picture for you.

Okay, I looked it up and apparently mine aren't barnacles either. I'll try to get a pic of at least the top to show you...Some of the colors are quite pretty.

I think they're bugs, I have had them. I'll look for my picture tomorrow. Harpe? something or another. :D

Those are definitely Flatworms (Red Planaria), look them up and start eradicating. I have shell substrate so I just suck them up with a canister filter and conduct regular water changes. I have only had them twice and it was after introducing new live rock. Good luck!!

Oops, just saw that you looked up flatworms. My opinion still stands by looking at the photo you provided though.

These were id'd as Harpacticoid's. The black is a suction cup from a powerhead so they're very small.

Debi's id seems closest, though the horizontal band and antennae on her critters are more obvious than those on Friday's critters. Probably more of a species variation as the order Harpacticoida contains over 400 genera and 3000 species.

If they are Harpacticoids, then they are not a problem. They are phytoplankton consuming copepods. LiveCopepods.com sells Harpacticoids as fish food.

One of the many joys of reefing is the discovery of things in one's tank that one has no clue what they are, let alone that they are present.

In the OP, there are a couple where you can see the antennae, so I would go along with harpactowhatsis. I have similar in my tank which my mandarin really appreciates.
