What the... Lawnmower blenny

So my lawnmower blenny has done a great job eating algae as you can imagine. Now it taken a liking to spirulina plankton pellets that I feed the snails every few days. LMB desroys it, and goes into a feeding frenzy, and couldn't care less about veggy flake food I try to suppliment for him.

Is this common?
