Ok,
well I need advice on wat to put in my 30g. oceanic cube...
the set-up is...
-30g. Cube
-HOB overflow
-Won Brothers Titanium Heater
-Coralife Aquachill 1/10 HP
-Mag Drive 7 (return pump)
-Maxi-Jet 600
-Custom Sump
-Custom Stand
-Coralife Aqualight Pro (150w MH and 130w PC and 2 moonlights)
-40+ lbs. of Liverock
-60 lbs. of Carib Sea sand... (the live kind.. in a bag with water)
-Coralife 2x9w 6700k PC (for refugium)
-Coralife Super Skimmer 65...
the tank is 2-3 months old.. im not new at this really.... i just dont know wat to stock it with.. coral and fish wise...
as for inverts.. i CANT put any shrimp in this tank.. i have a Ghost eel that needs to go into this tank.. please no flameing, or anything.. BTW im almost 100% positive this tank will be able to hold the bioload of the eel and 2 other fish...
please comments, suggestions... im up for anything really

This would be really high bioload, but I would probaly do two mated perculas and a anenome, maybe RTBA, or BTA. Im not sure on their requirements but you would have to have alot of LR, like you have, maybe even more and have a bunch of macros in your sump/fuge. You would also have to run your skimmer alot.

ya, the tank currently has a high bioload.. (seahorses) and they get fed a cube of mysis every day.. and about half of that cube doesnt get eaten..
also my Protein Skimmer runs constently... i have the eel in another 30g. cube with alot less LR and the water chemistry is fine.. AND i do have alot of macroalgea in my fuge...
so im not worried about bioload that much.. i just dont know wat to stock in my tank..
anyone else got an opinion?

right now its just seahorses.. 2 anemone shrimp.. some macroalgea, shrooms, pagoda cup, and zoanthids.. a gorg. and some Clove polyps.. its nothing special..
anyone got any opinions?

Picture?

One idea I'm toying with next is a full-up macroalgae saltwater tank in a 10G tank. Grow the algaes like I'm trying to grow FW plants is what I'm thinking. I think seahorses may like that. Get the macro growing well on nitrates, then try adding some corals and see how they like it. I'm sure the horses will love big stalks of macroalgae.

One good thing about plants in freshwater aquaria is you can make the tank carry a higher bioload because the plants feed off the respiration of the animals as well as their wastes. I don't see why marine plants and macroalgaes would do differently. So the worry with the high bioload with the eel and horses may not even be a worry. You may not have to skim at all. This is speculation on my part at the moment, I'm still researching, so don't take my words as gospel.
