I have been breeding Bangaii cardinals for several years. I broke down my tanks when I remodeled my house but I have been back up and running for about a year and breeding again for about 6 months.
Between my pair and a friends pair we are now sitting on 62 baby bangaii's and I have 2 other young pairs that are getting ready to breed.
My question is: What to do with all of these fish? Bangaiis are listed as threatened in the wild and obviously captive breeding can help reduce stress on wild populations.
So I can sell them through my local club, I can probably start selling to my local LFS's. Is anyone producing a large quantity of captive bred fish and selling them regionally or even nationally?
Would love to hear about scaled up breeding programs.
