What to expect traffic wise

What would be my optimal time to come north from SF on Friday? Thinking of leaving around 230. anybody make the commute weekly? I know traffic can be brutal through santa Rosa.. I haven't been thru that way on weekdays in years but I remember traffic through San Rafael and it got bad by Novato the later it was . I remember going to Russian River and sitting in traffic for hours..

So is 230 a good time to make it up that way on a Fri . or should I leave earlier.

Way too late I work in marin and they're redoing the freeway North of Novato. I'd be thru the Novato narrows by 1pm

All the chaos that used to be at RP/SR border moved down to Novato and south Petaluma!

Awesome lol. I'm leaving work a little early at 230 as is to make it up there by 4 or a little after.. I don't mind a little traffic but hope I beat the 4 to 5 type traffic .and I'll be solo so no carpool. I think I need a better plan ha ha.

Thanks for the heads up guys looks like I'll be sitting in traffic for a while.. I think Sunday should be Ok traffic wise hopefully at that time of the morning..

I leave the financial district in the city at 3:15 by bus. Without traffic (rare) the ride is 80-90 minutes to Ptown. It takes a full two hours and sometimes more on Fridays.

Yeah thanks for your sympathies. It's only about 40 miles, and the bus is express from Ptown to the GGB. Today was surprisingly good. Excellent Friday light traffic time in (60 minutes). Only 110 minutes out!
