theres nomore algae in my tank and my lawnmower blenny is starving. what do i feed it? wont touch anything i feed my fish, including flake food.

Many hobbyists place a small flat piece of LR or ceramic tile in container with saltwater and place it in the window.

When a good crop of hair algae grows on the rock/tile, simply place it in the tank.

Once its gets hungry enough it will lean towards flakes or nori sheets... I have had two and both took a few months before they started eating. I have heard though of them starving to death.
How long has the tank been set up?

Borrow an algaed rock from your lfs, promising to return it clean. He might take to macroalgae as a stopgap, but probably not caulerpa, which is mildly poisonous.

tank has been set upfor a year.. i bought the blennyu at about 1.5-2 inches.. now its 3.5-4 inches its always been fat, but now that i have no algae its skinny.

It's also very hard to get a starving fish to change diets: a fat one is likelier to have a bigger appetite. The only fishfood that might tempt him is pure spirulina flake.

I agree with EdKruzel, this fish likes to eat algea, give it to him. Also good for tanks with lots of tangs.

My lawnmower blenny eats frozen Formula 2. He cleaned my tank after 3 weeks of having him and he immediately took to the frozen Forumla 2 after all the algae was gone. I tried nori and seaweed sheets, but he has never taken to them.
