Sorry, to clarify my earlier post, most clowns in captivity are likely to host in just about any anemone you have. I was trying to say, if you are interested in matching a clown pair to what they are likely to host in the wild, you need to know what clowns you have. If you don't care, then you don't care, I have no problem with that. I do, however still believe you want to get an accurate ID of your pair for accurate sizing and choosing tank inhabitants. I have my black saddleback in a 26 gallon tank. I would love to have a goby/pistol shrimp pair, but she is mean and I would never see them. False percs, this would not be an issue. So for the little tank I got a yellow candy hogfish instead, and frankly she still bullies the hogfish, but it is fast and has hiding places.
