The big red thing? It's not a Caulerpa at all. Apears to be a branching algea from the red algae Order Gigartinales. Quite probably a species of Gracilaria or Agardhiella from the photo. A close up showing the branching the structure and tips of the plant would allow a better guess at ID. Many species within this order can have very variable growth forms.
