what were they doing in my tank!?

so i'm looking around the tank tonight and noticed a chromis is missing, checkingout my nice algea bloom on the rocks - saying to myself - get that water changed. then i look over at the toadstool and see this orange stuff hanging there. then the little clown swims over and starts picking at it - they say he is oxygenating (sp?) them.

I think if he's like wiggling and swishing the eggs hes doing so but if he's picking.. I think he read they can pick out the not-viable eggs? That or you need to feed him more ;p JK
