What Will Fit In A 20 Gallon?

OK I'm gonna be doing a nano seahorse/ seagrass tank. So my two questions are which species will fit in it. And what would be the marine sea grass will go well with it. I will like to know about pipefish also.

A twenty gallon tank is not sufficient for the seahorses normally kept in captivity. It is too large for dwarfs unless you have a heck of a pile of them, and too small for normal sized seahorses.
H. fuscus has been reportedly kept in the smaller tanks but I don't know of any fuscus available on the North American Continent at this time.
Greg may be able to advise on pipefish that may be suitable for that size tank.

OK I have found Some pipefish That I really like. They are Doryrhamphus excisus. How would you guess say they are and what the best setup for them

Greg (namxas) will probably be your best bet for information on those. He posts here often so I would hold until he gives you some help.

Blue stripes would do OK in a std 20 gal, but they'd be more at home in a rocky/reef-type setting. Make sure you get a M-F pair, as males with fight to the death. You could also keep dragon-faced pipes (Corythoichthys haematopterus, C. intestinalis) in such a setup, altho DF's can be tuff to feed, esp at first.

I don't know if you're thinking TRUE seagrasses (which require at least 4" of substrate for their root system and LOTS of light) or doing a "simulated seagrass" look with macro such as Caulerpa prolifera, which is much easier to care for.

If you want to do pipes in a seagrass setting, I'd consider a group of dwarf pugnose pipes (Cosmocampus hildebrandi).
