One more... What would be the medication of choice given my fishlist. Chloroquine Phosphate, Cupramine, or something else? I want to make sure i have it on hand.

^I've successfully used both to treat velvet, but since sourcing quality CP can be of issue, I would use copper again myself.
I've also had silicone seals slowly fail, I had to put everything in tanks/trough and order a new tank. Not sure what your situation amounts to, but once I emptied my tank and got a closer look at the silicone I was incredibly thankful I made that decision. Plus I got a nice new aquascape.
Additionally, I'd like to throw in that Levamisole is a superior internal dewormer, but not reef safe.

I ordered this last night before bed. Is it the right stuff? Shows i will have it by wednesday, seller shipped it this am. I have a great vet so i can get them to order some if need be. I have cupramine on hand should things go south

When i get home later im going to get my 360 disconnected from my display system, move the rock from it, add a sponge, and dose some ammonia. The tank has been connected for months so it should have a fair amount of bacteria present already.

Different levels of success are reported with the ebay vendor; I have not personally purchased from him. My vet keeps salt water and we have two dogs that go to him so we have no issues getting it.

I believe you can get either. Remember that the original use was as a malaria treatment for humans.

I would request the powder form as it's easier to dose (no fillers, you don't need to crush, etc.). Just have the vet specify the diphosphate salt (crystalline) form.

You were correct. When I got home the naso was still not eating. The queen angel isnt eating and has one gill closed. It's 230. Ive got the rock out and the acrylic almost scraped. Going to move the fish in the morning.
Should i give the queen a fw dip on her way over?

Fresh water dips definitely alleviate symptoms. Time is of the essence, so use copper. It will help to gradually (very slowly) lower the temperature if you can to the middle seventies as that will improve the oxygenation in the water.

I would give any fish having trouble breathing a fw dip, even 30 secs (sometimes that's all they can handle) will give temporary relief. Wish I could help.

The naso didn't make it but the queen angel has bounced back to her normal self after a fw dip. I was able to get cp from a friend and all of the fish have been transferred over. They are all eating and breathing normal at this point. I put air stones in the tank.
Temps at 75, i have some brightwell bio media bubbling in a gallon of tank water with Prodibio start up bacteria that ill put in a hot magnum. I setup a 2.5g with a heater and airstone for fw dips. The cleaner shrimp are in the display by themseves standing on the tallest rock like they conquered the world. I moved 1000lbs of live rock around like 3 times. I have a bit more plumbing to do before the qt's sump is completed. I'm exhausted!

I wonder what non-hobbyists would think of this statement.
I keep checking in on this thread, just to clarify, the fw dip is only temporary relief. I had two clowns with severe velvet and they required a daily fw dip for over a week, I believe it was 10 days before they were out of the woods. Additionally, keep on the lookout for secondary infections - redness, streaking.

I have been closely monitoring them with a bright flashlight. The only fish with any spots (which do look like crypto) on his fins is the yellow long nose butterfly, they are however in reduced numbers. None of the fish are breathing heavily. They all still eat and the tank hasn't registered ammonia on my salifert kit. I purchased a 2nd salifert kit and it reads zero as well. My Jungle Ammonia kit shows .25 but some have suggested the salifert to give a good reading during this treatment and that some of the other kits show false positives.
If both test kits show the same numbers I plan on doing a 25% water change today. If they are higher I plan on doing a 50% change.

No spots on any fish. No heavy breathing. All of the fish seem to be eating, the flame angel is overly picky but she looks great. I did an 80gal water change last night.
I am dosing the system at 40mg/gal (I did medicate the wc water). I'm on day 4, how long do I stay the course? 10 days?
Salifert test kits still showing no ammonia.
I've caught up on some sleep in the last few days. I refreshed my RO system DI and prefilters. I decided it was time to replace my 10 year old Air Water Ice RO so this will be its last filter change. I ordered a Spectrapure Chloramine system to replace it. Used my floor to do a water change, turns out it needed a good rinse. Lights on the display and bta tank are back on (they don't directly hit the QT) after being off since monday. My hands hurt, I think I pulled something when a chunk of the big pukani rock I was holding onto broke. It's way bigger than I remember.
I may have found a eucinid worm during the rock shuffle. In fact I am pretty sure I did. It was about 6 inches long. There were 3 smaller ones on the same rock. Not really sure where they came from... I haven't added any new live rock to the system in 6 years other than corals and I dip/qt all of those. I didn't really take many pictures, mainly because I had too much on my plate throughout this ordeal. I would rather get 15 seconds more sleep than a photo to remember this by.
