What would your "must have" be for a 180g FO?

So I'm taking my time researching fish for this possibility and stocking would be a long ways out but it got me thinking... There's no way I'm the only one who has a reef tank and always had those one or two fish that made me say "Ugh I wish I could get one of those".

My one or two:
Whitespotted Bamboo Shark
Queen Angel (never happening due to their serious aggression issues)
*and one I fell in love with last night online... http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+25+268&pcatid=268

So what's your "Ugh I wish" fish?

I am so very much going to follow this thread, that is my exact position right now, finally got my tank going! I am leaning towards Queen Angel, but have considered some stingrays as well. Would like to really know what everyone elses choices would be

hey chris, I have 2 sting rays and a juvenile queen angel and they get along great. I know its not always the case but it seems to be going well. I am contemplating giving/trading one of my cali rays to my neighbor and getting 2 blue spotted rays.

I have always heard of these to types not getting along

*with the exception of the Dog Faced Puffer and the shark*

I've seen EVERY species mentioned so far in this thread in a reef aquarium :)

I have considered the Queen Angel in reef tank, but couldn't find the courage to do it, mainly for the sake of my other fish. So I went with an Asfur Angel as soon as it became available for the reef. I really like crosshatch triggers as well

JMO but FO's are really boring. REALLY.

Not when you already have a reef tank to play with:dance:

Woulldnt it also be possible to add some creative ideas to FO tanks? I plan on adding GSP, some leathers, sorted mushrooms just to make life interesting in my FO. But then I guess it wouldn't be FO then right? I am confused:confused:lol...

Good point Gary but I plan to keep the 125g reef as well. I'm hesitant to put large fish in it anymore because it makes it look too cramped and takes away from the peaceful appearance.

Deal is close to being done on DrTango's ole 180g tank and I've got a spot picked out for it. :) This is giving me the chance to get a few fishy inhabitants that I would prefer to never add to my reef. Gotta research it some more but that Pakistan Butterfly I linked to up top will be a definate shoe-in provided I don't find any incriminating info on it during research. Would love the shark too but am trying to sort through the "chaff" I'm finding online. Heh...

Thanks for the replies so far all! There are so many beautiful fish to consider. :)

Chris, I've been debating the random coral too but am hesitant to use lighting that would be strong enough over the tank due to the fish load. Mmmm algae...

Just a few VHO's... Granted, I used to keep mushrooms and GSP under regular florescent bulbs when I first started this hobby so I'm sure they'd be possible under VHO bulbs. Hmmm... now you've got me thinking. lol

Thinking more about this... it seems one of the biggest visual "bore factors" with FO tanks is the lack of visual interest in anything but the fish. I'm actually looking forward to being able to do an extremely visually interesting rock stack in the FO. Stacking in a reef involves thinking through placement and flow factors where in a FO I would think more people would get creative with their stacking. Really, really looking forward to this part... ;)

fish only with live rock = FOWLR

still kind of boring IMO/IME

Nice thing about a FOWLR is the fact that you can keep certain fishes healthier in such a system by additions of microfauna such as 'pods, worms, mini brittle stars etc.

Did you happen to see the pair of Pakastani Butterflys at Aqua Shoppe in Greece, Mel?
