so was up reefers. im bout to get a jebao wp 40. and was thinking about the other pumps out on the market. am I doing something good or will I just lose?? LMK.

I run a hydro 425 and a wp10 in my 29g tank. The WP is a beast. Plus, it is incredible value with all of the settings. I have to dial it back or it turns my tank into a sand storm. It has been one of the best purchases Ive made. Cant recommend them enough.

I think they are great pumps for the price. They feel cheap, are prone to issues, but they are beastly for the price. I was running a wp 25 in my 30 and it was crazy flow. I still prefer my Ecotechs.

Considering you can buy an entirely new jabeo for the price of Ecotech replacement parts it's a hell of a deal

I consider the Jaebos to be like a Bic lighter. They work, for a while, then you toss them out.

dgen is correct .....disposable feel for sure.....IMO go through them and by the time all said and done you might as well have just done it correct in the first place....get the ecotech or the tunzes

I used to run 4 mp40s on my old system and now I have just 2 mp60s on my current setup and couldn't have asked for anything better....as far as the tunzes I have also had two of the tunzes running in tandem with 2 sea swirls and that was a nice combination but in the end just stuck with the eco's

I've had rw 15 for a while and I can honestly say it's a really good pump. Better than the previous pumps released by jebao I still run a wp 25 but in my opinion rw is way better

I have had 2 wp40s on my tank for about 18 months no issues at all. Just switched the gyre and is way stronger then the wp40s combined. I do use the jebao dc12000 return had it running for about 10 months and it stopped. I always keep a backup so put it in and ordered a new one. For the cost they are disposable. But take replacing propellors, and wet side of mp40s. It would take you a few times of replacing before you would be at the same cost.

What's the difference? I assume a wider flow pattern like the ecotechs? I love my MPs even if they are a bit noisy. Love the programs and the integration with apex.

I have a pair of the new rw4 in my Solana and they are awesome. Got them on Amazon for $100 shipped. Can't beat that.

I have had wp40 , wp60, rw 25 and mp40. The mp40 is the best out there. They have wide flow and are very durable. They are upgradable and always have replacement parts. They also have a nice battery back up available. That being said I ended selling mine as my tank is too close to the wall on one side so I could not fit the large magnet on one side of my tank. So I ended up trying the RW pumps. They have a nice flow and can connect to each other (wireless ) they do push some water and in certain modes they can push a wave that can take the water out of my 180. So if you go this route you need to adjust wave strength and timing before selecting else mode or you might have a mess on your hands.

I've liked using tunze and have had the same pumps for years. They are made to last but like others have said the cost of the jabao is so low that replacing one every year would still be cheaper than a lot of the higher end brands.

Considering you can get 5 wp40's for the price of one mp40's im good with the wp40's. If you add in any replacement parts for the mp40 you are up to 6 wp40's. I find it hard to believe that 1 mp40 will outlast 5 wp40's. Ive also had a jebao dc9000 die after 9 months but for the money id get another . Ive seen plenty of people looking for a wetside or something else for vortechs in the last 5 years. Nothing lasts forever, and i like to think i have more sense than money.
